WHO WE ARE

“Seishin”, is roughly translated as meaning “spirit that gives the courage to fight hard and never quit”.  Samurai and later kendo practitioners used the dojo to grow this spirit to face the challenges of life and death in battle.  With the commitment of all of Seishin Dojo’s members to train hard with one another, and respect each other and the dojo through the practice, our members may gain an understanding of “Seishin”, and hopefully take that with them outside the dojo, into their lives.

Seishin Kendo Dojo is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote kendo and an understanding of Japanese culture. Seishin Kendo Dojo was founded in December 1998
